Welcome to July!
Takuhatsu(托鉢)(Pindacara) is a traditional form of dāna or alms given to Buddhist monks in Japan. In the practice of takuhatsu, monks travel to various businesses and residences in order to exchange chanting of sutras in Sino-Japanese (generating merit) for donations of food and money.
Here I am a Soto Zen Monk With Cambodian Monks awaiting dana from Cambodians and Cambodian Americans at a Temple in Atlanta. I have had this experience with Friend Monks in the Theravada tradition three times.
We call offering our time and resources to support the services of the Falmouth Soto Zen Sangha-Dana. As a 501c3 non-profit we exist because of friends and Sangha members. I ask for your dana. Each one decides the value of what we do,
So, please consider making a donation to FSZS. Simply go to falmouthsotozensangha.net scroll down until you find PayPal and contribute.
And, continue to use our services on Facebook, our Website, and on Zoom.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you you would like to ask question or just set a time to talk.
Gassho (Bowing) for all you do for the Falmouth Soto Zen Sangha,
Unshin Sangkau Dan Joslyn, sensei
